Callum moves ‘Swift-ly’ on

Saturday 4th September 2010 saw Callum head to the Woodpecker stages, based in Ludlow – not to compete, but to run as course car in his brand new work spec Suzuki Swift S1600.

Callum was kindly asked to act as course car, and leaped at the opportunity as it provided him with a chance to get to grips with his new Swift.

Both Callum and co-drive Paul Wakely were slightly overwhelmed after the first stage in the new powerful front wheel drive Swift, as they enjoyed the remaining stages getting quicker and quicker throughout the day as Callum began to get to terms with the new car.

After succesfully completing all 7 stages and approximately 50 stage miles, Callum commented:

“It was a really enjoyable day, which provided me with a relaxed way to get used to the car on some fantastic stages. We both came out the first stage with huge grins on ourĀ faces. It’s going to take a while to get use to as its all happening that bit quicker than the MG. I’m confident that once I get use to it we will have moved up a level. I can’t wait to get out on the trackrod and I’m going to do all I can to secure the title!”

Callum will next be competing on the trackrod rally on 25th Septmeber, where he holds the championship lead by 3 points to localĀ driver Chris Peart in his S1600 Corsa.
